Having risen from their previous incarnation 'Humanity', from which the band released the well received 2005 album "When Silence Calls" on the now defunct Carbon 13 label, Awake have signed a worldwide recording contract with Lion Music. With their 2nd Album “Illumination” released in the summer of 2007, they are now becoming referred to, even more so, as being “the ones to watch”.
Awake have performed at both indoor and outdoor Bloodstock festivals, Dong Open Air, Germany and at the end of 2006 supported Evergrey on their European tour to critical acclaim and have just completed a UK tour as special guests to Magnum in May 2008
