Venture Scouts and Guides from Cambridgeshire are taking part in the 22nd World Jamboree in Sweden in 2011. The team has volunteered to help us keep the festival site clean and by helping us in this way we hope to help them raise funds for their trip next year. A collection will be taken up during the festival for this purpose - so please give what you can - every penny will be greatly valued.

A bit about us...
We are a 'Unit' (group) of 40 (36 Young people (all 13-18 yrs) & 4 adults), made up of Scouts and Guides from Cambridgeshire, who will be attending the 22nd World Scout Jamboree, in Sweden 2011. It's a gathering of over 40,000 Scouts (and Guides) from all over the World, that happens every 4 years. As a Unit we have to fund raise to get there (over £78000). However, our fund raising will also be supporting other countries who could not afford to attend without the help of others. In addition to subsidising others, all the UK members are also supporting 'Solidarity Patrols' where we will be paying, in full, for Scouts from Sierra Leone, Armenia & Papua New Guinea to join in with the UK units and attend the Jamboree - therefore, a % of the money we raise at Cambridge Rock Festival will go directly to the 'Solidarity Patrol' funds.
