Hi everybody, I'm the singer in the band Heartbreaker. Let me tell you about the music that I like. I consider myself to have been really fortunate to have grown up, as a teenager, during the seventies with bands like Free & Bad Company amongst other classic rock bands like the mighty Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Jimmy Hendrix & of course Queen; all these bands are legends and are particular favourites of mine. However, I was just a little too young to have experience 1968; after all, I would have only been seven. Yes, your mathematics is right, I'm 52 years of age. Other favourites of mine from the past are David Bowie, T.Rex, Slade & Sweet; seventies glam rock was just fantastic. Never mind the punk revolution, The Sex Pistols was my favourite band from that era although The Dammed came a might close second. I got to see all my favourite bands because I was sixteen and life was feeling good because I was beginning to see bands live.
My moto is 'live for the music', which happens to be a great track by Bad Company. To me Paul Rodgers is one of the greatest rock singers of all time and I just love singing all of his songs; I hope I do them justice. I'm not exactly a young man any more and I am happy to say that I have left my dreams of making it in the record industry behind me. However, those days will always hold fond memories of being in an orginal band. Sometimes you have to accept that it was not meant to be. 'Thats Life'.
The one thing that I can not leave behind is playing music live and that is my great passion; it rocks my soul. I want to play the music that means so much to me and that is why I love singing songs by Paul Rodgers. The man has a great soul voice when he sings the blues. He is adoured by women and admired by men. As a band we want to play a complete set by Free, Bad Company, Paul Rodgers and his lastest venture Queen & Paul Rodgers; four sets in all. I hope this has given you some insight to my flavour of music. Music is a lifelong experience so rock my soul.
