CRF is now going to add a second outdoor festival into the mix at Haggis Farm, Barton, Cambs, CB23 7PZ - the straw poll finished up at around 9 to 1 in favour of going for it - so here we are! 27-28-29th April 2012
This is still in the planning stage of course (CRF12 line up to finalise first).
CRF's Spring Edition Tickets will be £49 once launched until March, then £59 rising to £69 in April. There is a special deal if you buy CRF12 tickets (or have already purchased them), to make this the best value festival deal ever. Sign up for the newsletter to find out about this limited offer.
One of the main requirements is for more volunteers to help run the events.

Sounds great, but will Larry Miller be available? CRF without Larry is like Christmas without Santa.
PERHAPS THIS WOULD BE THE OPPORTUNITY TO RETURN TO THE GREAT LINE UPS OF THOSE EARLY FESTIVALS AND HAVE THE LIKES OF THE ZOMBIES,GEORGE THOROGOOD, THE MOVE,
WISHBONE ASH, FEELGOOOD AND THE OTHERS WHO REALLY KEEP LIVE MUSIC LIVE. AND AMOR WHO PLAYED IN THUNDER AND LIGHTNING.
yes I would love to go to 2 crf festivals can't wait till august
Hi,
I live in Barton were the CRF is held and have been going the past 3 year,s.I go for the whole weekend with friends and family.we always have a fantastic time and have met some truely lovely people.
the idea of another rock festival is good and i would definatly attend though think it would be hard to beat the original CRF.also would you then get people just going to one and not the other.
Its better to have the one festival and make it bigger and better than maybe two that are not so good with not so many people attending.
The idea is great in principle but would enough support it in the current economic climate?
Once a year is not enough!
sounds fab dave but the only trouble for us(as we come from barnsley)is the distance. But for local people it is a great idea as we think the crf fest the best and believe me we have been to alot of festivals and tyhis one for the comfort not two big a crowd the friendliness and facilities are brill so i am voting yes for the local people around you and who knows work permitting ie.time off would be nice to do 2 a year down there ,warm time of year please
There will be a decision very shortly on this project. The CRF steering committee meets down the pub (where else!) on Tuesday 3rd. My concept is to put together an additional festival featuring great bands from the CRF festival - past and future and be able to offer this event at a lower cost (as it would be initially 3 days not 4) with a fab deal for all CRF 12 ticket buyers. This will be good for the main festival sales and get the new event off to a flying start.
wow 93% yes... no surprise there. Just wondering tho, out of how many voters?
If you have similar excellent rock and blues bands like the 2011 show we will come to it
great idea .. I enjoyed the camping at spring fest this year. I think a second canvas event needs to compliment rather than compete with the summer event .. ie less days .. lesser bands .. less price .
but just as much fun..
I hope this idea takes off.

Hopefully having the festival at that time of the year would mean far less competition from other festivals (so would hopefully get a good crowd).
Though it may be a bit cold for camping (and I don't want my real ale getting too cold) :o)
Hi Dave
All for it as long as it doesn't compromise the quality of the main event in August .
Can the market take it at the moment wouldn't like to see restraints in future years because of it, was reading in Classic Rock earlier in the year of the over subscription of Festivals and how the numbers at some of them was causing the promoters too cancel, we don't want that !!
Just add your comments on the idea of a second CRF each year.
