Formed in March 2006, Square One hail from Liverpool, they combine the ambience and slickness of Coldplay's albums, with the power and energy of their live performances. They pay tribute to every note, every sound and every word that reverberates through the speakers whenever Chris Martins' men take the stage. With an extra member added to the line-up for an unquestionnable accuracy to sound, Square One are most certainly in line with that old nutshell "close your eyes, and you'll think it's the real thing". There is no other band that can recreate Jonny Buckland's swirling guitar shapes, Guy Berryman's tight rumbling tremors, Will Champion's relentless thumping, and Chris Martin's melodious nasal yell with such little compromise. Square One are all massive Coldplay fans themselves thus uncannily replicate every song, from the stripped down darkness of their debut release Parachutes, to the grandiose, arena-sized textures of X&Y. So whilst Coldplay continue to tour the world, and work on a follow-up release, this band are most certainly the answer to all your prayers!
