The Ghosties

The Band Members

John

Known to some as Johnny Hormone, John is the founder and brains behind the group (he's the only one who can read and do joined up writing). Started playing guitar when he was 8, got a paper job at 12, saved all his money and bought his Rickenbacker (pride and joy) at 14.

Would like to meet Roger Daltrey (The Who), not to get some tips or anything, just to go fishing with. Would also like to meet Drew Barrymore, but that's got nothing to do with fishing (or has it?).

J J

JJ (not to be confused with the little jet plane or Noddy's pal) is the artistic force behind the band. Forever coming up with new ideas, which is why he looks as smug in the photo.

Always wanted to be a drummer since his dad gave him an empty Roses tin and three tins of beans, and told him it was a drum kit. He practiced for hours on end until someone told him it wasn't a real kit. Eventually got a real kit and is now showing what hours and hours of practice with tin cans can do for you (maybe this is why he looks so happy).

Lopey

Rhymes with Dopey (out of Snow White). Started out as a guitarist with another band but then switched to bass as it had two strings less. Hobbies include sleeping and eating, and asking the question "when was that".

The baby of the group having not yet got out of short trousers, though he wears them now for doing sk8er boy impersonations. Like Chail, he can't wait till there's a photo that doesn't look as if it's taken from a horror film.

As you may or may not know, The Ghosties have only been together for just over a year, and in that time they have achieved alot. The band have sold over 700 copies of their debut Ep (Not bad considering it was only released in August),have over 1000 names on their mailing list, have had precisely 3020 hits on their web site, not to mention playing to a 1500 strong crowd at Hogmany.I think this is pretty good when you take into account that The Ghosties were only a part time band last year, just think what could happen now that they`re full time.

There has still been no specific song or Studio chosen for the bands next recording.Last week we let you into a secret that The Ghosties would be going to record a one off track for radio broadcast use only, this is still the case, but all band members agreed that they were focussing on the mini tour at present and as soon as it is over all the details will be put into place for the recording. We`ll keep you up to date on this folks.

Keep checking the web site, Daily Record,Teletext, and other music based publications for details on gigs.
