Wolf Law began in Bedford early in 2006 when founder members and principal songwriters Roy Townsend and Sean Morris joined forces and was a direct result of the pair’s combined feelings of disappointment and resentment to the current musical climate and its anti-rock n’ roll ideals.
Twice weekly songwriting sessions ensued and the two friends set about writing the quality of songs they were desperate to hear. After four months, the search for a bassist and drummer who shared their passions began.
Wolf Law hit the road after a local promoter and entrepreneur saw their debut gig, recognized their potential and offered to manage them. A successful tour of pubs, clubs and universities followed in the East and south of England.
Though the core of the band remained, the original bassist and drummer moved on during 2008, being replaced by Jason Bowles on bass and Lee Barringer on drums.
A new pack was stalking the circuit.
With the departure of the manager after two years, due to work increasing commitments, the band remained manager less until the end of 2009 when Sally Newhouse started to spread the word of the ‘Law’ after being impressed with the bands drive and energy….and decided they should be strutting their stuff to a bigger audience. The band asked her if she would like to manage them, and Sally said it would be an honour.
Their 2010 spring tour is still under construction…..culminating in their appearance at CRF 2010.
Wolf Law’s sound is difficult to pigeon hole - They draw their inspiration from classic rock, country, metal, punk n’ roll; and everything notable in-between.
Thunderously aggressively played riffs underpin unforgettable melodies and anthemic choruses.
Their well received live show at The Pitz in Milton Keynes was described by one reviewer as ‘All about the passion, sweat and noise!’
